10:7 |
Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. |
10:8 |
All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. |
10:9 |
I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. |
10:10 |
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. |
10:11 |
"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. |
10:12 |
The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. |
10:13 |
The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. |
10:14 |
"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me |
10:15 |
just as the Father knows me and I know the Fatherand I lay down my life for the sheep. |
10:16 |
I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. |
10:17 |
The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my lifeonly to take it up again. |
10:18 |
No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father." |
23:6 |
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. |
14:2 |
In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. |
14:6 |
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. |
23:3 |
he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. |
1:7 |
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. |
12:15 |
Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions." |
13:13 |
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. |
10:18 |
"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is goodexcept God alone. |
10:28 |
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. |
10:29 |
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. |
19:30 |
When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. |
19:31 |
Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath. Because the Jews did not want the bodies left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken down. |
19:32 |
The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other. |
19:33 |
But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. |
7:13 |
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. |
7:14 |
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. |
