Jesus predicts the betrayal of Iscariot Judas

1. 1) Do you know someone who has betrayed you in your life?

    2) How did you feel?

    3) Why did God allow this to happen in your life?

    4) What did you do to him/her?

2. Jesus said to His disciples, “One of you will betray me”.

    1) When do you think Jesus found out?

    2) How do you imagine Jesus prayed about Iscariot Judas when choosing him as one of the 12 disciples? (Luke 6:12-16)

3. 1) Why did Judas become one of Jesus’ disciples?

  1. How long have you been attending church? Are you sure that you have been saved?
  2. If someone hurt you through betrayal, how would you heal yourself if you were hurt?
  3. How would you treat that person?
  4. When sinful thought comes to your mind, what will you do?
  5. If you yield to sinful thought, what consequence do you expect?

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, You are all knowing and all powerful God. You are in full control of the universe. Not only You know everything from beginning to the end of the universe, but also You designed in a way of detail. Thank You for the Word of God revealing Your truth. Thank You for Your son Jesus. You have revealed and fulfilled the Word of God through Jesus. Help me to know Jesus better through revelation by the Holy Spirit that I may love Jesus better and obey Him better. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
