(1)To fulfill the prophesy of Psalm 22. At the time this Psalm was written, crucifixion was not introduced to the Jewish nation. Criminals were executed by stoning. Piercing of hands and feet written here refers crucifixion.

Thank you Jesus for your sacrificial death on the cross to save my soul. Help me to meditate on You and Your cross everyday. Help me to take up my cross and follow you everyday with a thankful heart and with the joy of salvation. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
