1:1 A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of
Abraham:
1:1 The beginning of the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
1:2 It is written in Isaiah the prophet: "I will send my messenger ahead of
you, who will prepare your way"
1:3 "a voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.' "
1:4 And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a baptism of
repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
1:5 In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who
belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a
descendant of Aaron.
1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness,
17:5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you
before the world began.
1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
1:2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the
deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
1:3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.
1:4 God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the
darkness.
4:39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be
still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will
be given to you as well.
4:14 but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the
water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal
life."
1:8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day
and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you
will be prosperous and successful.
11:23 "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw
yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what
he says will happen, it will be done for him.
