1.1) Why did Jesus appear to the disciples in the evening, although He was resurrected in the early morning? 1.2) Do you believe that Jesus will be in the midst of the fellowship of His people even now? Yes 1.3) Can you explain Matthew 18:20? Jesus wants to be with us even at the small number of attendance. Jesus said even 2 or 3 gather in His name, He will be there. 2.1) On what day did Christians start to assemble together to worship? (Acts 20:7) On the 1st day (Sunday) 2.2) Why do Seventh Day Adventists assemble to worship on Saturday instead on Sunday? They were bound to keep Sabbath Day. This means they work from the 1st day (Sun) to 6th day (Fri) for six days and rest in the 7th day (Sat). We will be not saved by keeping the Law, but are saved by faith in Christ. 2.3) What is the significance that we worship on Sunday? We celebrate the Lord Day (Sun) for His resurrection. We start the 1st day with Jesus and spiritual rest through worship and will work the rest of the week (6days). 3.1) What was the response of the disciples when Jesus appeared among them for the first time after His resurrection? (Luke 24:36-37) They were fearful because they thought they were seeing a ghost. 3.2) What was the first word Jesus spoke to the disciples? Why did He say so? “Peace be with you.” Because they were fearful of the Jews who might arrest them. In addition they were fearful at the appearance of Jesus as a ghost. 3.3) What was the reason that Jesus showed His hands and side to them? 3.4) What are the characteristics of the resurrected body of Christ as observed by the disciples? 4.1) Who was the first missionary in this world history? Even though they saw the resurrected Jesus and talked with Him, they still needed the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish their mission. 4.5) Did the disciples receive the Holy Spirit when Jesus breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit "? If people reject the Gospel and Jesus’ forgiving work on the cross and do not repent, their sins will be not forgiven. 6.1) What kind of faith did Thomas have? Faith by seeing and touching. We act by faith in Jesus and His Word (promises) and not by what we see. 7.1) Why didn’t Thomas attend the meeting where Jesus appeared in the first Sunday evening? The reason is not written in the Bible. He might have avoided the meeting by the fear of arrest by the religious authority. 7.2) Why did God allow him to miss the opportunity to see resurrected Jesus? Jesus wanted to teach him and us about how to believe the resurrection of Jesus. 7.3) Did Thomas see and touch the nail and spear scars of Jesus on the second Sunday meeting? Probably not 7.4) What made Thomas confess that Jesus is God? Jesus revealed Himself as God. We cannot believe Jesus as God by human wisdom. Only we become humble before God and seek Him honestly from our hearts, then Jesus reveals as God. 7.5) What kind of faith did Jesus want us to have? Our faith should not be based on what see, but on the revelation of the truth through the Word of God. Life Application: 1. Do you believe Jesus’ resurrection? Yes. Even though I did not see His resurrection, I believe what was recorded in the Bible, being witnessed by the Holy Spirit in my heart. 2. How can you have the assurance of faith that Jesus is alive now? By faith and daily experience, being witnessed by the Holy Spirit in my heart

(2) He identified Himself that He was Jesus.
(1) He showed His body as a normal human body and He can eat and drink. ( Luke 24:38-44)
(2) His body can be disappeared instantly. (Luke 24:30-31)
(3) He is confined by space. He entered into the room through the locked door.
(4) He is confined to time. He appeared to 500 people at the same time in different locations. (1 Corinthians 15:6)
Thank you Jesus for your resurrection. Through your resurrection, I have the assurance of faith that Jesus has paid the price of all my sins and my sins are now forgiven. Your resurrection gives me the hope of my resurrection at your second coming in air and the hope of being with you for eternity in heaven. Help me to live a holy blameless life and to serve you until I see you face to face. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
