John 2:13-25
2:13
When it was
almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to
2:14
In the temple
courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables
exchanging money.
2:15
So he made a
whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle;
he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
2:16
To those who
sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! How dare you turn my
Father's house into a market!"
2:17
His disciples
remembered that it is written: "Zeal for your house will consume
me."
2:18
Then the Jews
demanded of him, "What miraculous sign can you show us to prove your
authority to do all this?"
2:19
Jesus answered
them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three
days."
2:20
The Jews
replied, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are
going to raise it in three days?"
2:21
But the temple
he had spoken of was his body.
2:22
After he was
raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they
believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.
2:23
Now while he was
in

2:24
But Jesus would
not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men.
2:25
He did not need
man's testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man.

Ephesians

"In your
anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,

and do not give the devil a foothold.

Psalms
84:1
How lovely is
your dwelling place, O LORD Almighty!
84:2
My soul yearns,
even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for
the living God.

Matthew
22:36
"Teacher,
which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
22:37
Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your mind.'
22:38
This is the
first and greatest commandment.

6:9
"This, then,
is how you should pray: " 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

1 John
2:15
Do not love the
world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the
Father is not in him.
2:16
For everything
in the world¡ªthe cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the
boasting of what he has and does¡ªcomes not from the Father but from the
world.

Revelation
2:1
These are the
words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the
seven golden lampstands:
2:2
I know your
deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate
wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false.
2:3
You have
persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.
2:4
Yet I hold this
against you: You have forsaken your first love.
2:5
Remember the
height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.
If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand
from its place.
