John 7:37-39 (D), Ezekiel 47:1-12

Rivers of the living water will flow from his innermost being.

1. 1) What do you think about when you see streams of a spring?

    2) What do you think about when you see a rapidly flowing river?

2. 1) What is the meaning of thirst?

    2) What is the most intense desire among the various desires of human being?

    3) Could you give an illustration of the most thirsty circumstance? (Psalm 42:1-2, Psalm 63:1-4)

    4) What is your strongest desire now?

3. 1) What kind of thirsty person was invited by Jesus? (v. 37)  

   2) Are you included in Jesus’ invitation?  

   3) Who are excluded from Jesus’ invitation?

4. What does it mean to “Let him come to me and drink”? (v. 37)

5. 1) Which portion of the body did Jesus refer to when He said ‘from within him’? (v. 38)

    2) What is the most intense desire in the most inner depth of our souls?  (Genesis 1:27)

    3) What can satisfy that desire?

Life Application:

  1. Would you like to taste the Living Water? How can you do that?
  2. How can you thirst for the Living Water in order to experience the living God?
  3. Would you like to float over the Living Water?
  4. What would be the evidence that you are floating over the Living Water?

Prayer:

Thank you heavenly Father for sending the Holy Spirit to us through Our Lord Jesus Christ. We experience the kingdom of heaven by drinking the Living Water. I want to be immersed in the river of the Living Water by being fulfilled by the Holy Spirit, so that I can live by the compelling power of the Holy Spirit that is also the spirit of God’s love, joy, holiness, peace, truth, and righteousness. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
